Dear colleagues,

as some of you may know, Technische Universitaet Muenchen (TUM) and
Technische Universitaet Dresden (TUD) have completely and homogeneoulsy
reprocessed a global GPS network of about 200 stations. More details and
first results of this project are described in Steigenberger et al
(2006), Reprocessing of a global GPS network, JGR, 111, B05402,
http://dx.doi.org/10.1029/2005JB003747

At the moment, the time interval from 1/1994 till 365/2005 is covered by
a more recent reprocessing run including:

- absolute antenna phase center model for receiver and satellite antennas

- application of the isobaric mapping function (IMF) based on numerical
weather model data: Vey et al (2006), Influence of mapping function
parameters on global GPS network analyses: Comparisons between NMF and
IMF, GRL, 33, L01814, http://dx.doi.org/10.1029/2005GL024361

- consideration of second- and third-order ionospheric effects according
to Fritsche et al (2005), Impact of higher-order ionospheric terms on
GPS estimates, GRL, 32, L23311, http://dx.doi.org/10.1029/2005GL024342.

The GPS satellite orbits and the Earth rotation parameters of this
reprocessing are now publicly available. These products are available in
two different format categories:

- SP3c orbit files & ERPs in IERS pole format
- Bernese standard orbit (STD) files (binary Linux 32-bit) & ERPs in
Bernese ERP format

All products as well as a detailed product description including an
analysis strategy summary are available at the ISDC of GFZ Potsdam

http://isdc.gfz-potsdam.de/gps-pdr

and from a ftp-server in Dresden

ftp://kpgpc7.geo.tu-dresden.de.

For both services, a personalized login is required. For GFZ ISDC please
register at

http://isdc.gfz-potsdam.de/user.php?op=register&module=NewUser

and choose the GPS-PDR project at
http://isdc.gfz-potsdam.de/index.php?name=MyAccount&action=personal.

For the ftp-server in Dresden, please consult the webpage at

http://www.tu-dresden.de/ipg/reprocessing.html

and request a password by email to reprorequest at ipg.geo.tu-dresden.de

If you decide to use the reprocessing products described here, please
refer to the publication by Steigenberger et al. (2006) given above in
any publication or presentation. The extension of the time interval
covered by the reprocessing as well as the release of further products
is planned for the near future. If there are any questions, comments,
results etc., please let us know.

With best regards,

        Peter Steigenberger (steigenberger at gfz-potsdam.de)

        Reinhard Dietrich (dietrich at ipg.geo.tu-dresden.de)
        Mathias Fritsche (fritsche@@ipg.geo.tu-dresden.de)
