Dear colleagues,

The IUGG XXIV General Assembly will be held in Perugia, Italy, July 2-13,
2007 (check the website for details http://www.iugg2007perugia.it/). I like
to draw your attention to the following technical session (within IAG GS004:
Positioning and Applications):

PPP vs DGNSS: Competition or Complementary?

While differential GNSS (DGNSS) has become a widely used positioning
technology, Precise Point Positioning (PPP) is on its way gaining increased
interests within the GNSS community in recent years. With continuous
improvements in accuracy/availability of precise orbit and clock products
and the development of new error mitigation and data processing
methodologies, PPP is going to become an efficient alternative to current
DGNSS to many applications. Either seen as a competition or complementary,
we need to investigate their roles in the development of next generation
real-time kinematic (RTK) systems. This session is seeking contributions to
identify and address important issues on the subject from methodology
development to case applications, and discuss the potential and challenge in
both PPP and DGNSS.

Please consider submitting a paper to the session. The deadline for abstract
submission is: February 28, 2007

Regards,

Yang
