Survey to explore the performance of the IERS Global Geophysical Fluids
Dear Colleagues,
The IERS will hold a workshop on the performance of the IERS Global
Geophysical Fluids Centres (GGFC) in San Francisco on December 6-7,
2006. The main goal will be the improvement of the IERS GGFC products in
accuracy, consistency, stability, timeliness, user-friendly access, and
documentation.
At this workshop we will take an insightful review of where we are and
discuss options for potential changes in the structure of the GGFC such
that today's users can easily find the models and data sets which they
need.
Your are kindly invited to register for the workshop, there are a few
places left ( http://www.iers.org/MainDisp.csl?pid=66-1100112 ).
In the case you can't participate in the workshop nonetheless the IERS
likes to include your experience and opinion. A questionnaire offers the
opportunity to contribute to the restructuring process. Please take some
minutes and fill in the form as complete as possible but don't feel
impelled to answer every question.
You have access to the survey by
http://www.iers.org/GGFC_Poll/php/index.php
Your answers will be kept confidential. When visiting the above Web site
the first time, please select a user name and password (each with more
than 6 characters). Using this user name and password you are able to
visit the Web site later on as registered user in order to change your
selections if necessary.
The IERS will be happy to get back your response till December 1, 2006.
Thank you for your cooperation
Tonie van Dam (Chair of the GGFC)
Bernd Richter (Director IERS Central Bureau).
