The launch of the first IIR-M ("modernized") GPS satellite has been
scheduled for Wednesday, 04 May 2005 during 05:30-05:59 UTC. The
date was moved up from 20 May. This will be launch sequence number
Block IIR-14/M-1 of the SVN53 spacecraft, which is expected to be
designated PRN17. This satellite will broadcast the new L2C civil
signal, as well as new military M-codes.
