Here is some additional information from one of our Russian colleagues (V.
Glotov) about the status of the three new GLONASS satellites. As of today,
one of the new GLONASS satellites (in slot number 22) is "operational". The
next two satellites (slot numbers 21 and 23) are okay and may be set
operational during the next two weeks. The new satellites are the older
series satellites (not GLONASS-M). The SLR reflectors on the satellites are
the same as the ones on the two operational satellites launched in December
2001 (132 corner cubes in panel).
