Dear Colleagues,
A number of GPS ground station sites continue to experience
difficulties in regard to communications or equipment. The
following is a brief review of status for each, for which I
have information:
AREQ - replacement equipment on site, testing now,
follow up IGSmail shortly.
CHPI - replacement equipment awaiting shipping clearance
CORD - local communications link out
DYR2 - equipment offline
KWJ1 - equipment offline
NSSP - replacement equipment enroute to site
PIMO - replacement equipment enroute to site
POL2 - local communications link out
QUIN - local communications link out
RBAY - new communications link under test
RIOP - equipment offline
SHAO - local communications link out
XIAN - local communications link out
YAR1 - equipment offline, (YAR2 data available)
YKRO - local communications being re-established
The expected return-to-service dates range from
within a week, to possibly much longer. The important
point is that none of the sites have been officially
retired or abandoned at this point.
Apologies for the extended outages.
Best regards,
-dave
