Subject: Footprint surveys

Dear all

I am conducting a survey to determine whether footprints
have been done for IGS/geodetic sites. A scan through IGS logs have
revealed that about 60 % of IGS sites have no footprints, and 40 %
have had a footprint or at least a local survey done. IGS log files
do not always reflect
current or correct information as far as this is concerned. If you know
that a footprint has been done at your site, please confirm this. Feel
free to add whatever detail you think might be relevant, but please state
which IGS station you represent in your reply.

Eventually I would like to have a webpage displaying some results and
other useful information regarding 'physical site specifications'
to encourage footprint surveys and proper monumentation so please support
the project.

Thanks in advance

Ludwig
