Dear Colleagues,

A significant number of the receivers JPL offloads data from
experienced the same offload problem as mentioned in recent
IGSmail messages. Although perhaps not the best method, I
performed rather drastic measures to get the data flowing
again. It involves clearing the flashcard, so unless an
operation to 'hurl' or otherwise offload the flashcard
(perhaps 'block' mode might work) is performed first,
the data will be lost.

If serial port access to the receiver is through the AUX
port, the following instructions may be used...again
data will be lost unless other means are used to get the
data off of the flashcard before doing this:

[login to receiver]
term
clear -vx
port AUX
ferase
y
[wait for completion]
bang
y
[wait for reboot]
[login to receiver]
conf

I did -not- see a specific correlation between firmware
versions and the problem. It appeared to be more correlated
to general location, perhaps relating to PRN 27 illumination?

Best Regards,

-dave
