Subject: GPS Constellation Date Testing,Week Rollover, Y2K


The GPS space segment will be performing tests soon. 

Testing will be on PRN27 0500 - 2130Z with the spacecraft set 
unhealthy from 0800 - 2100. There will be 1.5 hours of data before
the rollover and at least 1.5 hours after while the spcacecraft is 
in view over the US. 

April 23   Leap day, Feb. 28-29
April 25   Feb 29 - March 1
April 27   GPS Week rollover test
April 30   J2000, Dec 31- Jan1

Some of us at JPL ( Marty Marcin, Larry Young, Jim Zumberge, myself ),
intend to collect some test data from receivers at JPL. There should be
an announcement in the NANUs today.
