Subject: Malindi data retrieval problems 

In the last weeks we have experienced problems
with the retrieval of the Malindi data. This 
is due to the bad performance of the PSTN lines 
caused by on-going replacement of
analogue by digital lines between Malindi
and Mombasa. The data can be retrieved 
daily, but not always automatically and not
before the first eigth hours deadline, because
of the difficulties to find lines with 
acceptable quality. We expect an improvement
in the line quality once the replacement of
the lines is completed.
