I would like to draw your attention to a special session at the AGU meeting
in Baltimore this spring:
G08 Combinations of GPS with Other Geophysical Data
GPS has received much attention for its ability to provide
three-dimensional position and deformation data. Considerably more can
be learned about the Earth by combining GPS with other types of
geophysical data. For example, the combination of GPS and differential
microgravity measurements permits the separation of the effects of
elevation changes and mass changes below a station. This session will
explore these possibilities from both a theoretical viewpoint and
through examples of such applications. Papers are also solicited on
geophysical applications from the availability of continuous
differential microgravity measurements.
The deadline for receipt of abstracts at AGU headquarters is February 27, 1997.
