Subject: Maspalomas receiver and monument replacement.
A new GPS system has been installed at Maspalomas to replace the
current MiniRogue set-up (marker MASP). It is made up of
a TurboRogue SNR-8100, an antenna Dorne Margolin T and a new
geodetic monument (marker MAS1).
Both systems are intended to work in parallel for several days,
so the analysis centres will be able to estimate the relative
coordinates of the new marker. After this overlaping period
the MiniRogue (MASP) will be decommissioned.
The new system has been checked as OK for several days after the
replacement of the receiver line amplifier on DOY 101,apparently damaged
during the shipping of the equipment.
>From DOY 155/94 on the data will be distributed to the IGS data centres.
Data since DOY 102/94 (12/04/94) are available upon request.
The station information form has been sent to the IGS Central Bureau
and is reproduced below.
