Subject: New Site - Arequipa
Subject: New GPS Site at Arequipa, Peru
A permanent GPS receiver has been installed at the Laser station ( TLRS-3 )
at Arequipa, Peru. The GPS antenna is currently located over an existing monument
(inscription: Est Satellite) and will most likely be moved in the future to a
permanent Turbo rogue style monument.
A Turbo Rogue (Rogue SNR-8000) GPS receiver was installed on January 29,
1994, by David Hallenbeck. The data is now appearing regularly from the site, after
some initial communications problems and should be available on the CDDIS.
Some of the basic station information follows below and is also in the site report
submitted to IGSCB.
