Here are some news about the IGN data center (at last I should say).
Sorry for not showing ourselves since the beginning of the campaign, but we had a
lot of trouble with our internet connection, it is really effective only since the
beginning of august. It seems that the internet administration slows down
dramatically during the summer, on the european side as well as on the US side so
... It took indeed a very long time to get our connection .
We got the european connection 2 weeks before the US connection, and began
retrieval and archiving of european data around mid-july, we operate on the whole
core network data set since the beginning of august.
We get and store on-line the observation files of the core network and the
products files generated by the analysis centers. We intend to store all the
products available from all the analysis centers during this campaign. The IGS data
at IGN is available by ftp, just send me a mail if you need an account to use our
server.
The ftp server logs you directly into the IGS$CORE: directory (operating system is
VMS). The observation data is stored by day into directories [.DDD] DDD being the
day of the year. In each day directory you find a 0STATDDD file wich summarizes the
content of the directory.
The organisation is the same for the products files. The root is IGS$CALC:, the
data is stored by week into [.WWWW] directories, WWWW being the GPS week number.
The entire set of observation and product files of august and september will be
available on-line. The data is archived on optical disks and DAT.
We generate a weekly report of observations and products holded at IGN, you will
find the report for observation files of GPS week # 657 in this mail as well as the
reports for the products files of weeks # 649 to 656. The next reports will be sent
to the igs mailbox, you will get the report for one week the week after. we have to
take into account that some stations send their data 5 or 6 days late.
The products files are available from one to two weeks after the observations,
depending on the analysis centers. We will broadcast our product reports following
the pace of the analysis centers.

The 4 char-ids of the stations complies with Zuheir Altamimi files. Some stations
are identified differently by other people, but their is a majority of them with a
unique id among all the centers with whom we operate. Anyway we have made ourselves
a list of synonyms to get rid of file identifying problems during automated
transfers. I can send it to anyone interested.

Satellites with AS: 2,16,17,20,21,23,24,25,26,28.
4. AS was "on" during Day 221 (MJD 48842), beginning approximately 01:00. Same satellites as in 3.
5. The RINEX files for some Rogue receivers contain no AS-affected satellites, others exhibit noisier
measurements. The latter is the primary cause of the higher than normal RMS on AS-affected days.
6. Primarily to support the EPOCH-92, "codeless" data from Hobart, Wellington, Townsville, Mojave
and Westford (CIGNET sites) have been included to aid the orbit determination.
7. The sx and sy for AS-affected days are scaled from the formal values. Other values are formal sigmas.

On days 222, 223 and 228 (August 9,10 and 15) there have been anti-spoofing
tests. One test period lasted from day 221 to 223, the other one from day 228
to 230. So for this days our NGS-Format orbit files only contain such satel-
lites, that obviously were not affected by anti-spoofing (see table below).

Subject: Zimmerwald Receivers

1. The Ashtech receiver on loan in Zimmerwald has been upgraded with
a new firmware version last Wednesday, 19 August. Since then it is
not possible anymore to download the data to the PC. We are in
contact with the manufacturer, but until the problem has been solved
there will be no data available.
2. The Federal Office of Topography is doing some GPS surveys in
Switzerland this week using Trimble SLD's. These SLDs
only run in the "standard mode", i.e. on non-integer seconds.
In order to be able to accurately refer this survey to the Zimmerwald
reference station, they have to switch the permanent receiver
(Trimble SST) in Zimmerwald to standard mode, too.
(There is no spare SLD available to be put to Zimmerwald.)
Under SA these observations cannot be accurately combined with other
instruments running on full seconds. That's why we will not
upload any SST data to the IGS network this week.

This week we include the following information:

Our solutions during AS periods do not include data from
the affected satellites (i.e., PRN's 2,16,17,20,21,23,24,25,26,28).
The consequences at this stage:
(a) Our orbital products do not include improvements to these satellites
during the AS period.
(b) Polar motion values for the AS period have larger uncertainties.
(2) Updated DOMES numbers and polar motion results.
The set of coordinates described below is based on the
analysis of the of the first 58 days of the IGS campaign, and
include coordinates of the PGGA sites after the Landers earthquake.
The polar motion table has been updated for the period 8-14 August.

than: ALGO, YELL, PIN1, PINB, JPL1, JPLB, SIO1, SIO2, FAIR, KOKR,
USUD, DS10, DS1B, DS40, DS41, DS60, YAR1, MCMU, TAIW, ONSA, WTZ1,
METS, MATE, TROM, NALL, KOSG. For these stations constraints of
+0.001 m for horiziontal and +-0.005 m for the height were used.
(f) X and Y pole position once per day. (No estimate is made of UT1-
AT since these deviations are absorbed into the orbital parameters).
(g) On MJD 48800.5, the California sites are treated as separate
sites before and after the Landers earthquake.
