Subject : IGS site information and coordinates
------------------------------------
Dear Colleagues,
Please find enclosed two IERS/IGS Tables:
Table 1: IERS/IGS station list which was previously sent to you twice and this
is the 3rd updated version.
Table 2: IERS/IGS station coordinates in the ITRF91 at epoch 1992.5.
The ITRF91 is a global combined solution of 16 sets of station
coordinates
(SSC): 5 VLBI, 3 LLR, 7 SLR and 1 GPS. This latter was provided by JPL and
issued from GIG'91 observations of 21 sites (Rogue). So, the coordinates of
some
of these 21 Rogue antennas (those which are remaining in the same locations)
which also participate in the IGS campaign are already expressed in the ITRF91.
On the other hand, in the ITRF91 global adjustment the local ties are
used
as observations with proper a priori variances.
Also, a global combined velocity field consistent with the ITRF91 has
been
elaborated by combination of several site velocity fields estimated by SLR and
VLBI analysis centers.
Technical details will be found in IERS publications.
Table 2 lists for each station , the DOMES number, the CDP number or
the
4-char IGS abbreviation, the ITRF91 cartesian coordinates at epoch 1992.5,
their sigmas, the ITRF91 cartesian velocities and their sigmas. Notes are
given at the end of this Table explaining how these coordinates were estimated.
It should be noted that the reference epoch of the ITRF91 coordinates
is
1988.0. So the coordinates listed in Table 2 here were referred to 1992.5 epoch
using the ITRF91 velocity field.
Please dont hesitate to send us all comments, updates, questions, etc.
P.S. 1: Coordinates for two sites: St. John's and Mc Murdo are not yet
estimated since we do not have info to do that. If any group has
some estimates, they are urged to communicate them to us as well as to
all users
P.S. 2: There are still some local ties unkown for CANB, ORRO, USUD, and SANT,
and some antenna heights to be checked or confirmed : NYAL, KOSG, FAIR
and SANT.
Best regards.

(1) Coordinates issued from the ITRF91 solution.
(2) Coordinates issued from the ITRF91 solution and reduced to the bottom
of the choke ring, since the coordinates were initially referred to the
top of the choke ring.
(3) Coordinates referred to GPS marks, obtained by adding the local tie
values from Table 1 to the SLR/VLBI mark coordinates.
(4) Coordinates estimated by AIUB/THD in the ITRF90 and then transformed by
IGN into the ITRF91.
(5) Approximate positions, message from Miranda Chin.
(6) IGN estimation, derived from old Doppler data.

Subject: Late data from JPL
------------------
I must appologize some what for the late delivieries of data from JPL.
With the enforced span network change of our computers and the shakeup
here in Southern Cal and new hardware, I have be swamped. The major
problems have now been resolved and things are starting to return to
normal. I will be transmitting the rest of the delayed data shortly, and the
missing ephimeris files from jpl. Carey should have all JPL data by the
time most of you read this.
Thank you for your patience
Dave Starr

Subject: (UN)Availability of SIO
-----------------------
To All:
The main connection to SIO is currently down so we will be
unavailable for an unknown amount of time. It may be a few hours or
possibly a day or two. This means that all connections via
teddy.ucsd.edu are impossible. Hopefully we will be up very soon.
Keep trying us until you can get through.
Thank You,
Keith Stark

Subject: Status report from the western Pacific region
---------------------------------------------
IGS STATUS REPORT (Western Pacific Integrated Network <WING>)
WING project is one of Epoch'92 regional campaigns in the western Pacific
region. Countries that will be participating include; Japan, China, Korea,
Taiwan, U.S., Philippine. The WING project mostly c
oncerns with the Epoch'92 (July 25 - August 8). However, some of stations
such as USUDA, TSUKUBA, TAISHI are active during Campaign'92.
National Aerospace Laboratory is trying to process core site data for the
whole period of three months.
====Regional data center====
- Regional data center for the Western Pacific region is now active, which
is located at the Earthquake Research Institute, University of Tokyo.
- Regional Data center
Hardware SUN SPARC station IPX
1Gbyte harddisk
8mm tape drive
1/4" CMT etc.
IP address 130.69.195.101 (gpstokyo)
- Regional data center is now archiving core site data through PGGA/SIO with
some additional Japanese data. Data directory is /igs/92data/initarch
- Anyone who wants to use the regional center, please use anonymous ftp.

===Qustion===================
Is there anyone who have a good (graphical) computer tool for fixing cycle
slips very efficiently? At present this procedure is most burdensome for us.
We would most appreciate it if some of you kindly offer us such a tool for
data pre-processing even if it need some costs.
- Is the sampling interval fixed to 120 second for both Campaign and Epoch.
Is shorter interval such as 60 seconds or 30 seconds accepted for the
regional campaign?
- We understood that the standard data format is RINEX2. However, Dr. Murata
of the National Aerospace Laboratory noticed that all of data are written
in RINEX1. Is RINEX1 the standard format accepted for the IGS campaign?
Thank you very much for your help.
============================
Dear Dr. Beutler,
As we discussed at Ohio in this March, we need to write a letter to Dr. Chen of
China to ask their cooperations. Have you already sent such a letter to him?
