[IGS-DCWG-226] replacement Chair for the IC

Dear IC & DC members,

As you may have already heard I will be stepping down the IC Chair as 
soon as a replacement is in place.

I have been elected as RINEX WG Chair by the members and ratified by the 
GB last week in the GB meeting #55.

It is sad to leave the IC Chair after 10 years, but I will remain part 
of the IC since the RINEX WG Chair is a de-facto member. I will be able 
to help close out some of the outstanding issues we have open and to 
provide assistance to the new IC Chair, but I need to devote most of my 
time to the RINEX WG .

Would you be willing to put your name forward to be the next IC Chair? 
It is a truly interesting and rewarding position to ensure there is 
IGS-wide coordination on infrastructure issues with so many other 
colleagues from across the IGS, and to attend the IGS GB meetings. 
Please let me know if you or someone from your organisation would have 
the time to be the IC Chair. Thanks. If there is more than one candidate 
the CB will run a short election.

As mentioned I will be still available for the transition and within the 
IC as a regular member for the foreseable future, but the new Chair will 
of course be able to take the IC in whatever direction they see fit and 
to cover some of the things I may have overlooked.


Thanks for your consideration and I hope a few of you step forward to be 
Chair with your own vision of how we can continue to serve the IGS 
community from the IC in the best possible way.
