Hi Nacho,

A few thoughts ahead of today’s telecon:

Regarding ex-officio members, we don’t currently have an official “CB Infrastructure and Operations Manager” role. By this, do you mean the CB Information Systems Engineer? The Network Coordinator, a member of the CB, is already listed. Is it your intention to have two CB representatives?

Given that the other product Coordinators are listed as ex-officio members, should the Real-Time Analysis Coordinator also be included?

Should one of the “other members” specifically include an IAG and/or IERS liaison?

Reclassification of IC Chair to IC Coordinator (and with it, adding another voting member to the GB) will require some discussion within the GB. I would suggest that the IC as a whole consider what arguments it wishes to make in support of this change, rationale, and also note what organizational “problem” this change will correct. It’s a topic worthy of discussion and consideration at our next GB meeting, and I would encourage the IC to put together a formal proposal at either our EGU GB meeting or at the Workshop.

For the sake of transparency and order, I recommend that the IC waits until after formal GB discussion (and any subsequent decision) takes place before adding or changing language in the IC Charter about the reclassification/voting status of the IC Chair.

I look forward to the telecon!

Best regards,
Allison

Hello all,

Thanks to everyone providing necessary changes and revisions to make the IC Charter as accurate and correct as possible. The entire Charter is up for discussion during this process so don't be shy during the teleconf, or before, to bring up anything you have issues with. Thanks.

In the enclosed version (v0.5) the Network Coordinator and the RINEX WG Chair have been added to the ex-officio members list, I thought they already where! Those positions have always been included in the IC discussions and decisions in the past, better make it official now if we all agree.

The maximum number of "other members" I reduced to 5 just to keep the maximum number of members to below 20 for practical purposes, but we could go to a max number of members of "21" if there is disagreement here, we will discuss later today.

Also some wording has been changed to clarify the IC Coordinator will be a voting member of the IGS GB, the previous wording was a bit convoluted ... if approved by us this will trigger an update cycle of the IGS TOR at the next GB meeting.

Best regards,
Nacho
