Dear Nacho, all,

thank you for highlighting the changes in blue. Since the

• Data Center Representatives
o One representative from each active IGS Global Data Center

is also a change, it should be marked blue as well.

The official wordings are “Analysis Center Coordinator” and “”Clock Products
Coordinator”.

I did not find, neither the wording nor the task description, of the
“Central Bureau Infrastructure and Operations Manager”.

If we nominate “One representative from each active IGS Global Data Center “
and since we have six global data centres, adding these six to the six ex
officio members leaves up to one other members left if the IC consists of
“up to 13” members.

Concerning Carine’s remark on the regional sub-commissions: They are
implicitly mentioned in the “IAG sister services”, mentioned twice in the
charter. We could extend the preamble in the way
“The IC interacts with International Association of Geodesy (IAG) sister
services and projects – including the International Earth Rotation and
Reference Systems Service (IERS), the Global Geodetic Observing System
(GGOS) and the Commission 1 Sub-Commissions – and with other external groups
(such as the RTCM) to synchronize with the global, multitechnique geodetic
infrastructure.“
This way, SC1.2 as well as SC1.3 were mentioned. Otherwise it is difficult
where to start and stop with adding specific components or partners.

Best regards,
Wolfgang

telecon

Dear Nacho,

In the past years, the IC also interacted with the regional densifications
of the IGS (eg EUREF and SIRGAS) to ensure that the policies, standards,
guidelines, and recommendations developed by the IC were supported and used
within the regional networks (which have overlaps with the IGS network). It
has been a fruitful and useful interaction and it is important to keep it.

However, this interaction is presently missing in the charter. Would it be
possible to add it?

Best regards,
Carine

decision of the GB to create the new GB position of DCC (Data Center
Coordinator), and to merge the DC WG and the IC since the activities overlap
so much. As you know we have been coordinating all DC issues through the IC
for many years. The Final issue has been the suggestion by the CB to make
the IC Chair the new 'IGS Infrastructure Coordinator' with a vote in the GB
meetings so that infrastructure is better represented.

addressed within the IGS Data Center Working Group has been carried out
within the Infrastructure Committee. Examples include the integration of
multi-GNSS sites and RINEX V3 data into the archive structure of the IGS
GDCs. Thus, given the success of such cooperation, we have discussed the
need for a separate working group for data center activities.

made to the IGS Terms of Reference to create a Data Center Coordinator
position in the GB that works closely with the IC. As per the ToR, the DCC
will assist the IGS DCs, monitoring activities to ensure that the IGS
objectives are carried out, primarily the collection and dissemination of
IGS data and analysis products. Other responsibilities include quality
control of the IGS related files, performance evaluation, and continued
development of appropriate analysis standards.
