Dear all,
From the EPN side, the missing information about the availability of an
individual antenna calibration is a critical point (we have 115 individual
calibrations within the EPN).
The easiest solution could consist of adding one (optional) tag
in each antenna section providing an url to an atx file with the
individual calibration (if such a calibration is available).
If a new individual calibration becomes available at some point (due to a
recalibration) for the same antenna, then a new antenna subsection has to be
created in the antenna section.
This new sub-section should then be identical to the previous one, with as
main difference the 'installed date' and the url of the new individual
calibration. The 'installed date' is then the date at which the analyst
has to switch to the new individual calibration. (I hope I am clear)
Of course, ideally, this new 'individual calibration' field should
also be accepted as an optional field in the site log itself
(and not only in the XML). This would really be a big improvement for the
EPN!
Other remarks:
1) Site log sub-section "8.5.1 Other Instrumentation :" does not
include a field for "Effective dates". But the XML format is
foreseeing such input:
<otherInstrumentation>
<equip:instrumentation></equip:instrumentation>
<equip:effectiveDates></equip:effectiveDates>
</otherInstrumentation>
2) Site log section "13. More Information" contains:
Hardcopy on File
Site Map : (Y or URL)
Site Diagram : (Y or URL)
Horizon Mask : (Y or URL)
Monument Description : (Y or URL)
Site Pictures : (Y or URL)
which is not corresponding to associated part in the XML format
<mi:hardCopyOnFile></mi:hardCopyOnFile>
<mi:siteMap></mi:siteMap>
<mi:siteDiagram></mi:siteDiagram>
<mi:horizonMask></mi:horizonMask>
<mi:monumentDescription></mi:monumentDescription>
<mi:sitePictures></mi:sitePictures>
We expect this instead:
<mi:hardCopyOnFile>
<mi:siteMap></mi:siteMap>
<mi:siteDiagram></mi:siteDiagram>
<mi:horizonMask></mi:horizonMask>
<mi:monumentDescription></mi:monumentDescription>
<mi:sitePictures></mi:sitePictures>
</mi:hardCopyOnFile>
3) The following two fields in the XML format seem to be duplicate:
<mi:antennaGraphicsWithDimensions></mi:antennaGraphicsWithDimensions>
<mi:insertTextGraphicFromAntenna></mi:insertTextGraphicFromAntenna>
as the site log says :
Antenna Graphics with Dimensions
(insert text graphic from file antenna.gra)
That's all for now,
best regards,
Carine Bruyninx
