The IGS Standing Elections Committee (SEC) and Governing Board (GB)
are pleased to announce the 2026 Call for Nominations for the
position of <b>Network Representative</b>. Please refer to the <a
moz-do-not-send="true"
href="https://files.igs.org/pub/resource/governance/IGS-Terms-of-Reference.pdf">IGS
Terms of Reference</a> for further details on this position.<br>
<br>
The election process will follow the procedure approved in <a
moz-do-not-send="true"
href="https://files.igs.org/pub/resource/governance/GB_Elections_Process.pdf">September
2024</a>, and the IGS SEC encourages <b>GNSS Networks</b> and <b>IGS
Associate Members</b> to nominate candidates for any of the
available positions, including self-nominations, as long as both the
nominator and nominee are active in at least one IGS Component and
in good standing with the IGS. All IGS Associate Members listed on
the <a moz-do-not-send="true" href="https://igs.org/am/list/">Associate
Membership List</a> are eligible to nominate.<br>
<br>
<b>Nominations should be sent before the 30th of August 2026 to
<a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated" href="mailto:elections@igs.org">elections@igs.org</a>.</b><br>
<br>
Candidates must provide (1) a <i>curriculum vitae</i>, (2) a
statement of intent, and (3) a letter of support from their
organisation. Nominated candidates will be contacted to confirm
their interest and asked to provide those documents.<br>
<br>
The election process will be overseen and enforced by the IGS
Standing Election Committee, which as of today consisted of Rui
Fernandes, Wolfgang Söhne, Benjamin Männel, and Ryan Keenan. SEC
members will be responsible for reviewing and approving all
Associate Member applications, and vetting and selecting
candidates. <br>

Once the call for nomination ends, the SEC will organize and verify
nominations. <br>
<br>
The election process will be electronic and take place <b>from the
15th of November 2026 to the 1st of December 2026</b>. The elected
candidate will be elected to serve a 4-year term, starting on the
1st of January 2027.<br>
