The Forum will describe the economic benefits enabled by an accurate and reliable Global Geodetic Reference Frame (GGRF), and the role geodesy plays in assisting developing countries with efficient and effective land management. In addition to demonstrating the benefits geodesy provides to our world, the Forum will also shine a light on some of the risks associated with the GGRF, including the degradation of geodetic infrastructure and a lack of access to accurate coordinate reference frames and precise positioning in developing countries. We hope this will generate further support for the work of the Subcommittee on Geodesy and the forthcoming establishment of the UN Global Geodetic Centre of Excellence in Bonn, Germany.</span></div><p class="x_MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"><span lang="EN-US" class=""> </span></p><div style="margin: 0cm; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;" class=""><span lang="EN-US" class="">The Forum will be open to all participants, so please feel free to circulate to your wider networks and international community.</span></div><p class="x_MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"><span lang="EN-US" class=""> </span></p><div style="margin: 0cm; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;" class=""><span lang="EN-US" class=""> <span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><img id="x_Imagen_x0020_1" data-outlook-trace="F:1|T:1" style="" class="" apple-inline="yes" src="cid:image001.png@01D7222B.EFC40CA0"></span></div><div style="margin: 0cm; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;" class=""><span lang="EN-US" class=""> <img id="x_Picture_x0020_5" data-outlook-trace="F:1|T:1" style="" class="" apple-inline="yes" src="cid:image002.png@01D7222B.EFC40CA0"> </span></div><p class="x_MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"><span lang="EN-US" class=""> </span></p><p class="x_MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"><span class="x_DefaultFontHxMailStyle" style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: windowtext; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal;"> </span></p><div style="margin: 0cm; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;" class=""><span class="x_DefaultFontHxMailStyle" style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: windowtext; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal;"><span lang="EN-US" class="">Best Regards</span></span></div><div style="margin: 0cm; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;" class=""><span lang="EN-US" class="">Greg Scott<br class="">Global Geospatial Information Management</span></div><div style="margin: 0cm; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;" class=""><span lang="EN-US" class="">Environment Statistics and Geospatial Information Branch<br class="">United Nations Statistics Division | Department of Economic and Social Affairs<br class="">United Nations | 2 UN Plaza | Room DC2-1518<br class="">Email:<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><a href="mailto:scott12@un.org" class="">scott12@un.org</a><span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>| Tel: +1 (212) 963 8578 |<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><a href="https://urldefense.us/v3/__http://secure-web.cisco.com/1H8RxIcickZN6a6MR3gTERe6YfN7Dn_kryRkSGDaqwqLxGiYG8Q_7yHI8cCGT8PFmRrLFzMdk_vECgGnPNV7qqvAoYUMrujj-0PqAWfDFbIB-bhJ085F0pGlscxx-lPyWxeSXxLdc6UXWjPiPoe9-lcMY430COc74ny5o3A_S6WrBWDz2xPQqkdS2yXTEW1LAS-fZnWnTtqVFGZv5XPA2olS8JS3JKarynZzffGvTB4zDjaMLiYGMAwdRvh2iskZDCOYudjW2G7cYX_MQXwMGSoL4Q9K6CAVdaQ0lxPjWaVdHYyBpV4CLiya_x5qO3PsZX_XxK_l8MzxQNwQO1eXM8Q/http*3A*2F*2Fggim.un.org__;JSUl!!PvBDto6Hs4WbVuu7!a4Fi9Nx1n-j62XTdGpHv-4jK1CW_PDMzNuMio9cNC0-XcFIU--jPywkGsecmFGScBvykifTwg6hG$" class="">http://ggim.un.org</a></span></div></div></div></div></blockquote><br class=""></div><div><br class=""></div><div>Best regards,</div><div>Allison</div><div><br class=""></div><div class=""><div style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; line-break: after-white-space;" class=""><br class=""><b class="">Allison B.
