from 3-7 July, 2017, as detailed on the following web page:

If you are conducting your scientific research
using IGS products (either combination products or specific
Analysis Center products), then please consider submitting an
abstract to the session "PS09: Scientific Applications"
(please see description below). Most of the presentations
will be posters, but a few will be selected for the plenary
session.

It is important that IGS make connections with
the scientists that use IGS products, so that IGS can better
serve the scientific community. This is the perfect opportunity
to make those connections, while learning more about the data
that you need, and error sources that may be affecting your
results. Likewise, IGS would like to hear about your
experiences and questions on using IGS products for your
research, particularly as to whether they are meeting your
needs in terms of quality or information content.

The abstract deadline is May 5, 2017.
Abstracts may be submitted at the following web page:

presentations. Initially, select "abstract". The procedure
is to first enter your personal details, then go to "Select
Option" and select either "Poster" or "Plenary". This will
then allow you to select either "Poster Type" or "Presentation
Type". At this point you can select "Abstract" to submit your
document. Later you can go back and select "Final". Final
Plenary presentations must be uploaded through this web site
no later than the day before the presentation at 6 pm. No
onsite uploads will be allowed.

Note that the plenary session is scheduled for
the afternoon of Wednesday July 5, with poster sessions on

class="Apple-converted-space"> IGS products are being
used for an increasingly broad diversity of scientific
applications. The benefits of using IGS products include
accuracy, robustness, consistency, stability, standardization,
and traceability in reference systems and time
standards. Moreover, many applications benefit retrospectively
when IGS completely reprocesses of its entire dataset with
improved reference systems, models, estimation strategies,
algorithms, and calibrations. Scientific applications that
benefit from IGS comprise an exponentially growing list,
including reference frame realization, Earth rotation, plate
tectonics, plate boundary deformation, the earthquake cycle,
seismology, glacial isostatic adjustment, sea level monitoring,
low Earth orbiter positioning, time transfer, weather
forecasting, climate monitoring, ionospheric science,
atmospheric sounding, tsunami early warning, terrestrial water
storage, snow depths, soil moisture, vegetation monitoring, and
fundamental physics experiments. For this session, we solicit
presentations on scientific applications that use IGS products
(either combination products or Analysis Center products). We
particularly encourage presentations that trace the quality of
the science outcomes to the quality of IGS products, and
identify how future science may be improved by either new or
improved IGS products.
