Dear colleagues,

As announced in IGSMAIL-7399, starting with its next release (IGS17P05.snx), the
IGS cumulative solution will be replaced by a new version based on:
- the weekly combined repro2 solutions (ig2) of GPS weeks 0730-1831,
- the weekly combined operational solutions (igs) of GPS weeks 1832-present,
- a revised discontinuity list, consistent with the ITRF2014 discontinuity list.

As soon as the products of the IGS SINEX combination of GPS week 1934 are
released, this new discontinuity list will replace the current list at:
ftp://igs-rf.ign.fr/pub/discontinuities/soln.snx
ftp://igs-rf.ensg.eu/pub/discontinuities/soln.snx
It will then be updated as new discontinuities occur.

Like ITRF2014, the new IGS cumulative solution incorporates post-seismic
deformation models. Those can be found at:
ftp://igs-rf.ign.fr/pub/psd/psd_IGS.snx
ftp://igs-rf.ensg.eu/pub/psd/psd_IGS.snx
Information on their use and application is available at:
http://itrf.ign.fr/ITRF_solutions/2014/psd.php

The new IGS cumulative solution has been made consistent with the igs14.atx
ground antenna calibrations. This was achieved by applying corrections to the
positions of stations with updated ground antenna calibrations in each input
weekly solution. When available, the applied corrections were taken from the
station-specific estimates listed in:
ftp://igs-rf.ign.fr/pub/IGS14/igs08_to_igs14_offsets.txt
They were otherwise computed from the latitude-dependent models given in:
ftp://igs-rf.ign.fr/pub/IGS14/lat_models.txt
Note that only corrections exceeding 1 mm in either East, North or Up direction
were applied.

Finally, the new IGS cumulative solution will be aligned to the IGS14 reference
frame.

Best regards,

Paul Rebischung
