Dear Colleagues,

IGS issues a Call for Participation for a GNSS Performance
Monitoring IGMA-IGS Joint Trial Project as a joint activity of
GNSS Providers and the IGS. The Trial Project is organized through
the International GNSS Monitoring and Assessment Task Force of the
United Nations Office of Outer Space Affairs, International
Committee on GNSS (UNOOSA-ICG). The Project is aimed at creating
an authoritative international GNSS monitoring and assessment
system to benchmark the performance of available GNSSs.

Through this Call for Participation, the IGS is seeking
participation from the International Community in the GNSS
Performance Monitoring IGMA-IGS Joint Trial Project:
http://kb.igs.org/hc/en-us/article_attachments/210918708/CfP_IGMA_for_IGS_160824.pdf
A parallel call is issued by ICG seeking
participation from GNSS providers in the Joint Trial Project. GNSS
providers are engouraged to contribute GNSS tracking data from
selected ground tracking stations as well as to participate in
analysis of monitoring data.

Performance monitoring and assessment of system service
parameters based on equal algorithms and procedures for all GNSS
is one of the important tasks that will benefit the user
community. Acknowleging the expertise in GNSS tracking and data
analysis available within the IGS and the open availability of a
unique global infrastructure contributes for generating world
standard GNSS products, the Joint Trial Project aims at pooling
resources and expertise, avoiding duplication, to develop an
authoritative international GNSS monitoring system with results
trusted by all parties and worldwide. The IGS Multi-GNSS network
will serve as backpone for the performance monitoring activities.
Contributed tracking data and generated monitoring products are
publicly available according to IGS' open data and product policy.

The Call in particular seeks for groups from within the IGS but
also for new groups joining the IGS interested in developing
monitoring analysis capabilities as Monitoring Analysis Centers,
but also for contributing Multi-GNSS observing sites, Data Centers
hosting monitoring data and products, and Monitoring Analysis
Coordination Centers. Parties wishing to participate within the
Trial Project should complete the participation proposal form
