<div>As you know, we will be holding the next Executive Committee meeting in Singapore, on the occasion of the annual Asia-Oceania Geosciences Society (AOGS) meeting, 13-17 August.</div>

<div>The IAG has coordinated the development of a series of geodesy-themed sessions (<a href="http://www.asiaoceania.org/aogs2012/public.asp?page=home.htm">http://www.asiaoceania.org/aogs2012/public.asp?page=mars2/confSessionList.asp</a>). Most of them are
found in the "solid earth" section (as there is no separate geodesy stream). This initiative is related to the IAG's objective to better engage with geodesists and geoscientists in the Asia and Oceania region.
